Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Going Solar UK website (goingsolaruk.co.uk) and our introduction service. By using our website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.

The key point: Going Solar UK is a free introduction service, not an installer. We connect you with MCS-certified installers — we don’t design, supply, or carry out any solar work ourselves.

1. About our service

Going Solar UK provides a free service that introduces homeowners to solar installers. When you submit an enquiry, we pass your details to one or more MCS-certified installers we consider a suitable match, who may then contact you directly to discuss your project and provide a quote.

We are not a party to any agreement, survey, quote, or contract you enter into with an installer. Our role begins and ends with the introduction.

2. No cost to you

Our service is free for homeowners to use. We may receive a fee or commission from an installer when we introduce you to them. This does not affect the price you’re quoted and places no obligation on you.

3. Your responsibilities

When using our service, you agree that:

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
  • You are the property owner or authorised to request quotes for the property in question, or you have made the relevant party aware.
  • You will carry out your own checks on any installer — including their MCS certification, insurance, and reviews — before entering into a contract.
  • You will not use our website or service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.

4. No advice

The information on our website is provided for general guidance only. It does not constitute technical, financial, legal, or product advice, and should not be relied on as such. Any advice regarding a specific solar system will come from the installer, not from Going Solar UK.

5. Introductions are not recommendations

Being introduced to an installer is not a recommendation, endorsement, or guarantee of that installer, their products, or their work. We do our best to work with reputable, MCS-certified installers, but we cannot guarantee the quality, suitability, timing, or outcome of any work carried out. The decision to proceed with any installer is yours alone.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Going Solar UK is not liable for:

  • The products, workmanship, conduct, advice, or performance of any installer we introduce you to.
  • Any loss, damage, cost, or dispute arising from your dealings or contract with an installer.
  • Any decision you make based on information on our website.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

7. Intellectual property

The content, branding, and design of this website are owned by or licensed to Going Solar UK and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse them without our permission. Brand names and trademarks shown on the site belong to their respective owners and are used to illustrate the market.

8. Website availability

We aim to keep the website available and accurate but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Contact
