Disclaimer

Last updated: July 2026

Going Solar UK is an introduction service only. We are not an installer, contractor, or supplier, and we do not design, survey, supply, install, or carry out any solar or related work.

Introduction service only

Going Solar UK provides a free service that introduces homeowners to solar installers. We do not provide technical, financial, or product advice. When you submit an enquiry, we pass your details to one or more third-party installers we consider a suitable match. Any survey, quotation, contract, and installation is arranged directly between you and that installer, who is solely responsible for the advice they give and the work they carry out.

No liability for installers

Going Solar UK is not a party to any contract you enter into with an installer and accepts no liability for the products, workmanship, conduct, or any loss or damage arising from any installer we introduce. Being introduced to an installer is not a recommendation, endorsement, or guarantee of that installer or their work.

Commission

We may receive a fee or commission from an installer when we introduce you. This never affects the price you pay or places any obligation on you.

Do your own checks

We recommend you carry out your own checks before entering into any contract, including verifying:

  • The installer’s MCS certification (via the official MCS register).
  • Their insurance and relevant accreditations.
  • Independent reviews and references.
  • The full details, warranty, and terms of any quote before you commit.

Information only

The information published on this website — including guides, costs, and comparisons — is provided for general guidance only. While we aim to keep it accurate and up to date, we make no guarantees and accept no liability for any decision made on the basis of it. Solar costs, savings, grants, and schemes change over time and vary by property and circumstance; figures should be treated as indicative, not a quote.

External links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites, and a link does not imply endorsement.
